Build your own Shepherds hut! 

 

Self build shepherds hut kits available delivered to your site. Modular chassis that bolts together so restricted access is not an issue. 

 

Included in the kit as standard: 

​

• Steel chassis:    Very heavily built, with or without steering axle and a removable drawbar which can be used to move your hut around by use of a 4x4 or tractor. Both axles are removable which leaves the main structure frame, this allows you to be able to carry it on its side through tight areas with the help of a few people. We can assist with this upon delivery.

• Cast iron wheels:    24" diameter, wide rim for more stability on uneven ground. These are heavy genuine cast iron. These aren't cheap but we feel the investment is worth while for the added authenticity these give over some of the cheaper options available. We can also supply our huts without the wheels should you wish to use your own.

• Floor structure:    Pressure treated C24 4x2 timber, joists at 400mm centres.

• Stud walls:    C16 4x2 CLS timber at 400mm centre spacing, we only use structural grade timber for our walls & floor unlike some of the plywood structure hut frames which are available on the market which we believe to be structurally inferior to our more conventional construction method. 

• Roof structure:    24mm plywood roof rafters at 500mm centres with 5 rows of C16 4x2 CLS noggins to provide an extremely strong structure and solid fixings for your roofing sheets. Our rafters are cut by machine to ensure they are all exactly the same, making assembly very easy.

• Roof sheets:    Curved corrugated galvanised sheets included as standard. Plastisol coated coloured roof sheets are also available as an option.

• Drawings provided to aid assembly.

4.2m x 2.4m with steering chassis: £4500 + VAT

Each 600mm extra in length costs £120 + VAT. Max length 6.0m. We can also supply our kits in shorter lengths and narrower widths. Get in touch with your plans!
